The name of our blog highlights our cause and core values through the eyes of our women. The staff at KNWO share similar backgrounds and experiences but each woman has her own story and views on the history, culture and current conditions of their home state and country as a whole.
We are very proud of our staff and would like to share their stories with the rest of the world. Take a moment to read through some of them and gain inspiration from the women who have faced the horrors of the Burmese military, prolonged separation from their loved ones and the ongoing discrimination in their fight for gender equality.
It is rare that outsiders get the chance to hear the voices of the local people of Myanmar, especially those of ethnic minority groups which constitute over 40% of the overall population. Please read our platform for the women of KNWO and feel free to leave a comment on your own views and ideas 🙂
We welcome contributions to our blog and website. Check out our CALL FOR WRITERS opportunity here: knwo.wordpress.com/get-involved/
